Florence Blenkiron (1904-1991) Motorcyclist. Competed in the first Ladies Race at Brooklands in 1928 organised by Lady Campbell. In 1934, became the first woman to break the 100 mph barrier. With Theresa Wallach she crossed the Sahara by 600cc motorcycle from London to Cape Town
